a bit more info 120-130 1966

Okay, Thanks for the info on the feasibility of the cable-clutch swap. I can certainly live with it as-is.

I can see the reasoning behind keeping with the beefier flange/driveshaft/ujoints. So where do I make the transition? I assume in this scenario I would then have to source big shafts whose length would fit a 122/M40. Ideas/donor cars for that?

I seem to recall JohnMc mentioning taking a 140 drivetrain engine-axle and putting it in a 122 "back in the day" but I can't locate it. Perhaps because I imagined it.

Next I guess is the the diff input flange. That doesn't look fun to change; but I suppose easy enough to get the supplies for.

Or: am I wrong in thinking that the pre-72 shafts are the same diam as the 122/1800s driveline? I'm not going to beat this car to death or see 5k all the time so I wonder if I can get away with the small driveline.

Thanks Much,
-Sean
