How to install a M41? 140-160

I just bought a M41 transmission to try in my ITB race car. I have heard of them being used to advantage along with a 4:88 rear. Judging from the remote shifter it came from a post ‘71 142.

Two questions. What drive shaft do I use? I have been using the smaller diameter shafts for a little more clearance in the tunnel and less weight. Is there a small diameter front drive shaft section that will adapt to the large flange on the OD? Do I need to use a large diameter drive shaft? I have a large diameter short front half drive shaft from an automatic transmission car (I think) that bolts up to the flange on the OD. Is it the correct length for an OD trans?

Second how is the rear of the M41 supported? Do I support it with the same mount as a M40 or is there a mount that goes behind the OD extension?

Thanks,

Charlie
