Strage Noise After Engine Work 200 1990

Hello All,

This weekend I did some work on my 240 (110K mi.). Thanks to all the great info in the FAQ, I replaced all the accessory bushings, checked valve clearances, and replaced the valve hushers(absorbers). Replacing the valve hushers cut the valve noise in half. You can hardly hear the engine running when cruising down the road. The old hushers were all dried up and broken away. So they were not providing any absorbsion whatsoever. However, now I notice a new noise that occurs just above idle. It sounds like the engine is resonating. The sound is hard to describe, to me it sound like a loud fish tank pump, kind of a low resonnant muffled squall. It only occurs at a certain point above idle and dissapears at all other speeds. It gets worse as the engine warms up. Any Ideas?

Thanks,
Preston
