Routing cable for MultiCD Changer 900

Boy! Wouldn't it be nice if Ford would offer the complete maintenance manual set of the 960 on CD.

Anyway;
The Problem: The CD section on my 915 radio died; So I decided to replace it with an after market unit with a Multi CD Changer in the trunk. Every thing is installed except the changer cable which needs to be routed from the radio well back to the trunk.
The Solution: I have identified four ways to route the cable: Under the lower door trim on either the left or right side of the floor; Under the carpet and center console through a new hole in the trunk bulkhead; or through the engine compartment, under the car and up through an existing hole in the floor of the trunk. I favor the direct route down the center; but I need to remove the center console. However if the door trim routing is an easier solution, I'll go for that.
The Question: How do I remove the console or how do I gain access to the carpet along the side of the console? Or, how do I remove the side lower door triming? Thanks to all.
