access to ECT sensor 200

Access to temp sensor

I wanted to check mine too. I ended up testing output terminals on the ECU connector instead.

Look in the 700-900 FAQ. Under engine ignition sensors. Or in Bentleys book.

For access, take a look in the FAQ under Engine - Belts, Seals and Crankcase Ventilation. See the section on access to the flame trap's breather box without removing the intake manifold. It details how to remove the idle air control to get access under the manifold.

It makes sense to remove the throttle body at the same time, and clean it. Read in FAQ re. the TB's TPS: throttle position sensor. Attached to right/rear side of TB via a slotted hole that provides adjustment. So if you remove the TPS you have to set the adjustment when you remount it. Or leave it on and save yourself the trouble.

While you're in the neighborhood remove the air intake hose between AMM and TB. About 4" diameter, corrugated. Check for cracks, especially on the underside which is not visible when hose is installed.
