740 acceleration problem - Weird 700

Yeah, I did the filter a couple of weeks ago. The old one had really been on there a long time. My next move might be to put a fuel pressure gauge on ( from the dealership ). The PO had installed one, and it was reading 30 psi when running. I took it out when I replaced the fuel line coming from the filter to the fuel rail. I thought that 30 psi seemed kind of low. But, with fuel pumps, they either work or they don't, right?
