Shiftlock Override 200 1993

Hello All,

Have anyone of you ever disassembled the shiflock override? On my green 93, it works fine. Key in position 1, brake on, push the lever down hard. Shifter moves; it works! However on the red 93, it doesn't and I'm afraid I will be in trouble come the day when I truly need it.

In looking at the posts on the shift lock override, it appears that the 93 may be a little different than the 92 or 91. Apparently, on the earlier models, just under the bristles, there was a little plastic(yellow?) lever towards the rear of the shift mechanism, which is not on the 93's.

I inspected the operable shift assembly, at least to some extent, but could not see the "lock" operate in green 93, so I can't figure what may be broken in the red 93.

Does anyone have any input before I (probably make a mistake and) tear into it.

Or do I have to wait until a 93 shows up in the JY. Could be a while.

Best to all,

Marty Wolfson
