Sunroof Problems 1993

Hi everyone,

My sunroof has recently developed a couple of problems - a couple of days ago while closing/opening the sun roof I head a few loud cracks. The sunroof appeared to be working fine, until the last one.

I opened up the cover and noticed that the mounting screw (not the two bolts) was loose, so I tightened it up. The sunroof still however doesn't operate correctly.

When I go to vent the sunroof, it barely opens up at all, and when trying to open the sunroof it goes extremely slow and stops for a sec on its way back, and then starts going once I press the button again. Sounds like a timing issue?

I also notice that when putting it moving it, the right (passenger side) of the sunroof is "delayed". The sunroof isn't moving evenly - I hope I didn't break anything, I've heard sunroof issues can be expensive.

Does this sound like I just need to realign/retime the sunroof motor?

I looked through the FAQs, and thats what I came up with but before I dive into it and cut the head liner, I wanted to be sure.
