Tailgate lock & loud engine 700 1986

Don't know about the lock. May need a shot of WD-40? What do you mean by "loud". Is this a mechanical noise, exhaust noise, vibration,??? Is it loud just reving the engine or when moving down the road? Please give some details. The engine mounts could be bad and the oil pan could be resting on the frame causing vibration.
