odometer parts 200

ok im still working on my odometer problem.
I think i need an integrated circuit for it.
Ive got continuity across the motor. when i hook it up on the bench the motor moves back and orth ever so slightly but not enough to turn the gears. The problem is definately not mechanical.
so if anyone has a spare Ic or even an entire circuit board please let me know.
its a k9800 out of an 87

thanks again for all your help.
