my trusty daily finally stumped me.... 200 1986

alright... it always happens when it's the coldest possible week of the year for me. The car started and ran like total crap for 15 seconds and died. never to start again. I went through all kinds of things. It did need a new timing belt badly, so i changed that. no difference (i thought that it may have skipped). it is getting fuel and the both pumps are running correctly. I am getting spark at the coil, but it seemed weak at the plugs. I had an extra distributor stored that was in better condition so i changed that out and got the car to run. It idles very nicely, but whenever I accelerate the car studders and bogs down. I know it isn't a bad cat...because there isnt one :) i've gone through and completely cleaned out/replaced the flame trap assembly and all vaccum lines are connected as they should be.
Any ideas? oh also, after I got it running again it started leaking oil out the front of the engine like nobody's business.. replaced the cam seal but there is still a leak from the front somewhere. this leaks me to think of some sort of vaccum blockage, but none was found. any thoughts would be appreciated. I have to drive 700 miles/week for college commute and work so this thing needs to be resurrected asap. Thanks again!
