Fuel Filter Replacement 200

I replaced the fuel filter on my '88 240 GLT Auto (K230E block - CIS injector) with one the supplier said would be OK. It is considerable shorter than the original, and about 4/5th diameter, ie it's loose in its bracket.

Should I worry?

Engine seems to run smoothly, but I haven't tried it at speed yet (e.g. 70-80mph) to see if there is adequate delivery...
