OY! Driveshaft compatibility. 120-130

Latest development with my tranny conversion is that the shorter forward half of the driveshaft that I have for the M41 swap happens to be the type 3. Didn't catch that when I bought it long ago.

I currently have the type 1 in my '65.

Anyone know if the splines are compatible between type 1&3? Also any tips on center support bearing issues, they have different supports.

I'm wondering if it would be better to have my current driveshaft shortened rather than trying to make the type 3 front half work with the back half of my driveshaft.

Sound familiar anyone?
