How Much to Replace Valve Cover Gasket? 200 1985

Child has the '84 up in Seattle, Washington and was quoted $100 to replace the valve cover gasket by a reputable independent Volvo garage. I'm inclined to tell her go ahead as she has had the car serviced there for the last 2 and a half years and they seem like square dealers. Even if its a little pricey, it would help keep a good shop running.

I'm a cheap bastard who ALWAYS does his own work. I have absolutely no idea what a fair professional price for this work would be. If the car was here I've got the part in stock and it would take 15 minutes, including wiping the cover down.

I'd appreciate it if any of you would let me know what you've paid for this type of thing recently or if any of the pros on the board would comment.

Thanks,

Tatra Mike
