Replacing big yellow plastic headlights with double round glass 200 1987

My rectangular plastic lenses are slowly yellowing and rather than replacing with e-code, I was considering replacing them with the double round glass a la early 240s. I know I saw a post somewhere about someone doing this, either with parts pirated from an old car or a from-scratch build. I've got a welder and some free time. . .

Does anyone have any pictures/plans of this? Also, any idea how large the 4 round glass headlamps were?
