checked out a 242tic 200

Checked out that car just a bit ago before work today,

Needs some work. Spots of rust, nothing major that I noticed tho. The clutch/trans was being wierd and the clutch was spongy, dunno if it's just the cable needing to be adjusted.

Motor ran good, took a bit to get it started - broken cold start injector. I noticed the strut towers at the top under the hood, seemed to be misaligned and a wee bit talller than the other. Driver side front end clunked when pushing down on it, apparently new struts in the front very recent.

For the drive, the front rotors are messed right up, needs new brakes prolly all around wiht rotors. When the car was boosting, it didn't seem to accelerate much faster - I think it's having trouble putting the power down, as the motor and turbo sounded good when revving past 3k. Also noticed a broken stud on the intake tube before the throttle body, could maybe be leaking when boosting? Either that or the trans is being wierd.

The kid who's selling it didn't know much, hadn't changed the trans fluid in the 3 years he got it and really didn't know much. He seems to be firm on $2000 and thinks he would get more for parts from it.

It does have glass e-codes tho.

Anyways, there were a couple other things as well, but I don't think I want a Volvo giving me more trouble, and I could soon be spending lotsa $$$ with this to get it running very well. It would be cheaper to fix the busted up 240 in my garage.
