Hmm, interesting. I haven't been under the dash yet, so I dunno. So you think that maybe the motor is multitapped, allowing more or less windings to be switched into the circuit? I'll look at my Bentley's to see if it sheds any light on the subject.

It is an interesting thought, though. Would the motor current go through the speed switch, or would the speed switch control a series of relays?
