Well, it happens that I just made a deal to buy a '69 Amazon parts car.

Makes sense; one car breaks down so buy another one that doesn't run. I believe this is a sign of "old car disease". Thank goodness I don't have a field I can fill with these things.

There is at least one other 122 owner in this little town and my recent tranny issue put me in contact with him. Just so happens that at work we are doing a home restaurant renovation and he lives a half block from the worksite. Contacted him with the intention of getting some measurements for my new transmission mounts but have ended up buying his parts car.

Its a '69 Amazon which is pretty rare, not really sure how it ended up here in Kansas. Apparently it only has about 70,000 miles on it. Unfortunately it is rusted terminally. However I think some bits are good as far as sheet metal, trim and glass goes.

I'm even considering trying to use the B18 and M40, but it hasn't run for about ten years. Figure I would just use the long block and bolt all my known good ignition and carburetion bits on.

My plan is to strip it and cut off any parts worth saving and scrap the hulk. Too bad, I would have liked to have saved it but the frame rails have pretty bad cancer.

Won't be able to drag it over until next weekend but just thought I would check to see if there is anything particularly desirable about a '69 122 I should be sure to pull.
