B20 '71 1800 Cold start issue 1800

Hi All,

Suddenly, I am having an issue starting the engine when it's cold. Seems it dosen't just have to be cold outside, either.

I thought it might be realted to a mixture problem; sometimes the plugs seem to have fuel on them and they build up carbon very fast these days, but this just started happening. I was sure that changing out the plugs would be a temporary fix, but same issue with new Autolite plugs. Are they gapped wrong? I did not gap them myself, just took them out of the box and threw them in. Replaced the NGK's that were in there that *looked* like they were gapped the same but did not measure. Again, this problem was both before and after the spark plug replacement.

By the way, once warm, the car runs like bran new.

Is there a starter injector on this engine? Could it be the fuel mixture? How do I make it more lean if that's the case?

Fuel pump giving good pressure, by the way.

*edit; I did notice that after driving for a while and warm, it does start again on the first turn, but idles rough for a bit.

Thanks!
