I've successfully transplanted Paul's door locks into Junior, and can now lock and unlock the doors. Yippee! He's a two-key car... a quirk I can deal with for now.
However, in the process of testing them, either the lock or the unlock relay has failed, and the power part of the locks doesn't work. While this is a smaller concern than not being able to lock them at all, I would still like to fix this while I'm waiting for struts to show up.
I've looked through the Bentley and the Haynes, and they show the location of the door lock relays as behind the central vents on the dash. However, there are no relays there. I'm assuming they are further down behind the central part of the dash. How do I get to them? I'm hoping there is another alternative to taking the glove box out? I'm hoping the relays are compatible and can be another donation from Paul.
Also, is there a relay for the power windows? They worked before I took apart the doors, but now do not. I'm not great at reading the wiring diagrams, but I believe it shows one? Any idea where it might be, or what other solution might work. Fuse 10 appears to still be good.
Thanks for any suggestions!
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can get Junior on the road!
