DISTRIBUTOR CAP 900 1993

Having shaking issues at idle. Removed distributor cap to check for continuity. I only had continuity from the coil connection on the distributor to the center pin in the cap.. No continuity from any spark plug connections to the brass pins inside the distributor. Ordered new cap and rotor today. Being an electrician, the readings didin't seem correct to me. Does anyone know of any resistance values of the distributor pins? Thanks for all who respond.
