Volvo 745 lower chassis brace question 700

Hi everyone--

I've been wanted to add suspension upgrades and chassis braces for my 1987 745Ti, and so I copied the part number (3526694) from the 700 FAQ for the lower chassis brace, and ordered it from Volvo. It finally got here, and is different than the photo shown in the FAQ. This part number is no longer a triangular brace, but looks like a sway bar. It's tubular steel with flattened ends, and two holes on the ends in the flattened section.
Anyone have any ideas about this? Will this new part do the job, or should I seek out the triangular brace from IPD? The IPD catalog shows this single bar type brace, but to this novice's eyes, it seems like the other brace would give more stiffness by being attached to more points.

Any help or opinions appreciated......
