'93 940 air bag lifespan 900 1993

According to the FAQ, my '93 940's (2 of 'em) will come to the end of their air-bag life next year (15 years). Does this mean that they may deploy unexpectedly or that they won't deploy in an accident? I'm not too worried if they won't deploy in an accident because I always wear a seatbelt. However the thought that it might deploy unexpectedly scards the beejeebees out of me. It also appears from the FAQ that the airbag on my '90 240 would be good for 20 years. Is there an approved method to disable the airbags and leave them in place? Thanks.
