Front Fender and support removal 700

Hello Bricksters:
Son drove his 86 745 up the ass-end of an SUV and smashed in the right front light, crumpled the RF fender and bent the cross support brace. Body shop techie says to go to Junkyard, remove a fender ( 700 FAQ has directions) BUT I also need to remove the cross support that the lights attach to and the fender is tack welded to. How to do this? Where do I saw? or use a chisel?
The Pick N Pull does not allow torches nor has an electrical outlet near the cars. Only elbow grease allowed.
Thanks for any help.
