Speedo cable question.. 120-130

Thanks for the tip to try a motorcycle shop. I haven't gone out yet to find a lubber but I did pull the cable from the speedo and found that it could be drawn through the firewall past what's left of the big rubber grommet and into the engine compartment. From there I tried a half dozen shot of PBlaster followed by a bit of anti sieze and some 3 in 1 oil.

The cable is still clicking but not as severely as before. I'll go ahead and try to find a proper lubricant injector before attempting to hook the cable back up to the speedo. Any tips for reseating the drive cable without pulling the cluster?
