can't budge original oil filter threaded pipe, any ideas? 200 1986

brickers,
thanks for all who responded to my earlier post. i did take all of their advice and try it.

but i'm out of ideas & i need some help.

evanr says the 86 245 short pipe might take an allen wrench in the middle of the pipe. i haven't tried that yet.

so far:

i used
1) a pipe extractor and
2)tried to use 2 nuts to get the oil filter pipe off of a 1986 245.

my car runs on the hot side during the summer, so i'm installing a volvo oil cooler with a t-stat sandwich plate.

i got everything ready and installed except getting the old oil filter threaded pipe off.

it won't budge, i tried a pipe extruder, 2 nuts, and a decent amount of torque and the old pipe wouldn't move at all.

i can't believe it hasn't moved. what else can i try? run the engine until it's hot? i'm already working next to the exhaust pipe.

thanks to all again,
regards,
byron golden
