Bodywork on a budget... Touch up paint, POR 15, etc... 200 1990

I'm up here in Wisconsin, (salty roads), with a beautiful 240 wagon that I would like to drive for many years to come. I'm starting to see small rust spots in the typical areas like:

corners of the doors
corners of the tailgate
lower corners of the windshield
under the tail lights
and others...

I'm not super worried about getting a showroom finish, but I am concerned about stopping (or slowing) the rust.

Can anyone give any tips or experiences in doing small body repairs with bondo,
PRO 15(which I have used on floor boards before), touch up paint, other methods?

thanks,

matt
