Hello, I can't believe IPD told you to ignore the noise. If something is sqealing, failure is not far behind. I agree with all the posters. It could be a simple pulley at 50.00, but if it lets go It will cost thousands if it is anywhere near your timing belt. Pauli Check the front of your alt. for black dust as well, it could also be the tensioner is not giving enough tension on the serp. belt.
