1975 164E Transmission Fluid Type and Gas Cap Question? 140-160 1975

I have a 1975 164E with the borg-Warner automatic floor shift transmission that I just picked up. I need to know what transmission fluid type to fill it with. The manual says TQF. I am guessing that means U.S. Type F tranny fluid? Also, I am getting a strong smell of gas in the car on hot days. Are the gas caps supposed to be vented on these years? The cap currently on it is not vented and lets out alot of pressure when removed and the smell seems to go away in the trunk/car area. Or are there fuel vapor breather lines that may be cracked that could be the problem? Anyone who has had this problem or knows what it is would be a huge help. Thanks again.
