960 power seat and yes, I have read the FAQ : ) 900

Next on my list of new2me 960 projects is addressing the fore/aft movement of the drivers front seat. I've read the postings in the 700/900 FAQ and think I may have a slightly different issue. The other movement functions work fine. It's just the fore/aft one thats not working. The switch activates the motor and I can see the cables "flexing" as I engage the switch in either position and torque is applied by the motor. There is no further noise after the initial "clunk" of the motor putting torque on the cables. There is no change in the seat position on either side. This leads me to believe that I'm not having the rounded cable ends or cable pulling out from the track gear problem that is common. In other words, I don't think the cables are spinning inside the sheath. I will check again to make sure the tracks are clear but it seems unlikely that both tracks would be blocked (it seems that in the case of an obstruction, one is blocked resulting in skewed movement).
