Performance Upgrade for the S90 S90-V90

My 97 is really the same car as yours-I found a few extra hp by doing a couple of things-first I removed the air filter box and gutted the flap that lets hot air from the engine in and replace the air snorkle from the front of the car with a peice of ducting from Home Depot-this increase the air coming into the air box-and you could feel that by the seat of the pants as soon as we went back out on the road-next I took the cam cover off and the cams have three bolts that have elongated slots in the gears for the timeing belt-I loosened
up the intake bolts and advanced the cam about half of the amount that was there. Then I did the same to the exhaust cam. The cars been like this now for around three years and runs fine and is much better than when stock.
