Loose steering feel 200 1986

The family brick is home from college with my son for a few weeks and I am working on maintenence and preventitive maintenence. I had her out today for an extended drive and I do not like the feel of the steering; somewhat distant feeling, not what I recall it to be. I have replaced much of the steering components in the last 2 years, tie-rods, ball joints, struts, serviced the wheel bearings. But, all of the bushings, lower control arm and sway bar are all original. I haven't changed them since I have no tell tale clunks, moans or groans. Could this be the cause of the steering feel deterioration? I appreciate your opinions.
Thanks,
Michael
