Timing belt breakdown in Waterford, CT - Help 200

Help. My son brokedown in his 1992 240 on 95 in Waterford Ct. The car was towed to a Sears Svc. Center. I can't get the car home to NY (2 1/2 hrs away). He was going 70 mph when it shuddered and died. Timing belt doesn't spin. I'm sure that's the problem, it was overdue to be changed. Has this blown anything in the engine and does anyone know a place nearby where this can taken to be fixed reasonably? Thanks.
