Tips for installing nivomats on a IRS 760 sedan 700

I could use any tips or helpful info people have to offer about installing a self-leveling nivomat shocks in a 1988 760 turbo sedan. I have never done this before. I gather that I need to jack under the shock to compress both shock & spring and secure both with wire in a compressed state. They should be able to be pulled out then? Will the new one fit in relatively easily or does it need to be compressed somehow? How much torque needs to be applied to tighten the bolts of the shock? Any tips or answers would be great. Thank you.
