I did what Sil did 120-130 1967

Hello All:

Wow, Dave's units are very pretty but I just do not have $140 to spare at the moment (well I do, but I think my daughters are tired of watching the road passing under their feet. Priorities.)

So, I am going to take this advice and do the hacksaw job. It actually sounds like fun. My question is - I was under the impression that each of the three bolt-holes have a metal tube running the depth of the filter through which the bolt passes. Did you remove those and replace them with this all-thread and tubing and if so, why? Why not just use some tubing with an inner diameter equivalent to the outer diameter of the existing bolt tubing on reassembly? I am sure there is an answer but I cannot think of it.

Thanks again guys.

Cheers,

Jeff Pucillo
