O2 sensor wire connections...240... 200 1988

I have purchased an O2 sensor, Bosch, that is OK for the 240 but is made to plug into a Ford product. The Bosch number, I think, is 13192.

The theory is by cutting the Mustang connector off and attaching the original Volvo connectors I can save about $90, the difference in price between Mustang and Volvo direct fit.

So I wonder if this would work: Make a "Rosetta Stone" connector. It would have the Volvo connector on one end, and the in-the-car side of the Mustang plug on the other end. That way I could use another Mustang ($42) sensor in the future without having to do the cut-and-connect procedure.

I don't see any problem with this idea, but then I am not very knowledgeable about the EFI controls, sensors, computers, etc.

I you see a problem, please comment.

Thank you,

Bob
