Drilling into the fender - stainless trim 200

I want to get stainless fender trim for the '93 retro-project and have a choice to make - as far as I can see, two companies make quality trim, TFP and QMI.

TFP is the older, more well-known brand name. They advertise a "drill-less" clip system that allows one to install the trim without drilling holes in the underside of the fender. I like that idea, though I have heard and read that the clips are not very secure. Cost is about $140.

QMI is less known and has no "drill-less" option. Like TFP it is guaranteed to fit perfectly without bending or trimming and is solid stainless steel. Cost: $70 - $90 depending on source.

I need to decide between the two.

Obviously drilling into the body is never a good thing, but how worried should I be about rust if I choose to mount with screws? If I POR-15 the holes after drilling?

I believe the quality of the two companies' trim to be comparable, assuming that's the case - is it worth paying almost double for a "drill-less" clip system?

Brickboard member "archie777" is one of the only members I've seen that has bought the trim, Are you out there? Any opinions?
