OK - I have a 'B' Camshaft - Now What? 200

I am now the owner of a 'B' camshaft of unknown quality. What should I do with it? Do I take it to a machine shop for cleaning/refinishing, or just douse it with degreaser?

Is/Are there something(s) to guide me as to quality of shaft, wear, etc.?

Assuming I'm putting it into a NA 92 Volvo, does it also make sense to add the variable cam from IPD at the same time?

Or should I wait and get an "A" cam (who knows when that is) or a "T" cam (which would be like, this week or whenever I feel like it).

Best,

Lanval
