The first M47's can be weak, and really need to be overfilled. The second gen M47's are better, but they still get painted with the same brush.

The '92 M47 in my '93 245 has been happy for about 8 months (and counting) behind a 200 - 250 hp B230FT (and some sticky GY 215/24/17 Eagle F1's too, probably a more critical component to a blown up trans than the HP). I don't particularly abuse it, but I'm not shy at all about flexing that right foot down.
