No start!!! 200 1989

Hi there guys,

The old girl's being a bit of a pain in the bum at the moment. Just got home from a holiday the other and she wouldn't start. Unplugged then plugged in everything but still no go. Checked fault codes and got 2-1-4 which apparently means "rpm sensor faulty". Only had this replaced 1yr ago. Called road side assistance. He fiddled around for a bit and then removed the fuel pump relay, banged it on the ground and she fired right up. So obviously thought this was the problem. Next day, same problem, no start. Tried the same trick with the realy to no avail. Jumped fuses 4 and 6, could hear the fuel pumps running, turned her over but she still wouldn't fire. Tried to read fault codes again. Got the 1-1-1 from socket 6 but couldn't get anything from socket 2, not even the 1-1-1-. Thought the ecu might have had it so swapped back in the old 561 but still no change and still no codes from socket 2. I'm at a loss now and would greatly appreciate any help. It's a 1989 B230F with LH2.4 injection.

Any help would greatly apprecited to get her back on the road.

Thanks a lot.

Nick.
