I have a very nice 79 245 with about 66k on it. Last week the BW55 gave up reverse gear. The car is really much too nice to part out, but I really don't want another BW55 in it. I have a friend with an 81 245 diesel 5 speed (4 gears and elect. o/d). Is this a compatible swap? Thanks for any help that can be offered.
