Gas Leak 700 1991

When I put gas into my 1991 780 Volvo gas begins to leak, it seems from the front of the gas tank, where the rear suspension pretty much meets the gas tank. Then, when I stop pumping gas the leak stops. I looked under to see if there was a broken pipe or tube, but it's very hard to see anything. Any suggestiong in what could be the problem?
