I'll save the long drawn out explanation for later. I'm going to paint my car with the thinned rustoleum that people have been discussing as $50.00 paint jobs on other car boards. I've found my "Deep Blue" rustoleum paint and have been prepping the body with high-grit w/d sandpaper. The boards talk about using a high-density foam roller and six coats separated by wet-sanding with progressively higher grit w/d paper.
I was wondering if anyone had tried using one of those electric "Power Painters" to paint a car? I don't have an Air-Compressor or paint gun, but I can get one of those wagner power-painters pretty cheap and they are supposed to be okay with oil-based paints and stains, so I figure that it'd work. However, a review I read of using one of these was not very encouraging.
Has anyone ever used one of these $50.00 harbor freight electric painters?

I figure it might be worth the cost/effort if I can get a nicer paint job and keep my total cost under $100.00.
I've had good luck with all my Harbor Freight purchases so far (3-ton chain hoist, floor jack, misc tools).

Oh, I thought I'd add that wet sanding the grey enamel primer on the car looks *really* good (aside from it being grey primer). It comes out very smooth...
