Question from a newbie mechanic:

I have a stock B18 engine on my 1963 sedan with a single downpipe exhaust.

After I get a valve job on my engine and hopefully find and add a M41 overdrive, I want to add a 4into1 exhaust. I have an opportunity to buy a fairly inexpensive used-but-solid race header. The four pipes remain separate until meeting after two bends.

How much will it benefit my stock engine as opposed to my single downpipe?
