4 spd automatic not shifting into overdrive 200

This wire is exposed to road debris not high temp. 18 is more than enough for the electricity - you need to protect it from abrasion for the next 15 years.

No one has suggested you buy a solenoid. That may be what's needed in the end but not doing the simple tests we've recommended before spending 200 bucks makes me wish I had a parts store near you. If this electricity stuff causes you sleepless nights, just dremel out the old solenoid and be done with it. We're only trying to help you, not change your preconceptions.
