THE TURBO THAT WON'T 700

Hi. I have a 1991 745 Turbo, which I bought last year from a local used car dealer. The car was not running, but in nice condition, and the price was right. I have 35 years erxperience in vehicle service, and I believe that if one idiot can design it, another idiot can build it, I'm idiot enough to fix it. Once I got into it, I found some parts were missing, so I replaced them, and started diagnosing. So far, I have replaced the timing belt & tensioner, water pump, done a complete major tune-up, repaired the White hot wire to the RSR, (it was melted), and installed a new RSR, cleaned & soldered ALL engine & body grounds, repaired a REALLY bad ground at the driver's kick panel, replaced the cylinder head & vacuum hoses, repaired a number of poor connections in the wiring, under the dash & under the hood. This car originally came from Volvo with a 0 280 000 563 ECU in it. Once I was sure everything was connected,(and I checked ALL ECU wiring from the ECU connector to it's destination with my Fluke DVOM), I had spark, but no injector pulse. I replaced the ECU with a 0 280 000 967 ECU, as suggested in the FAQ section. I now have a hot spark & a strong injector pulse. The engine cranks great, and on the first crank or two it kicks, but won't fire. I rechecked for DTC'S, and had one in each controller for the coolant sensor. I replaced the sensor, deleted the DTC's, which did not come back, and still have the same problem. The plugs are getting wet, but still the same problem. I read about a Volvo TSB for the car about powering the cold start injector from the starter so that it only sprays during cranking, but it is for the Regina system. I have the Jetronic system. I know it wants to start, but I'm running out of things to check (or recheck). If anybody out there in Turbo Brick land has any ideas or suggestions, I would SO GREATLY appreciate it! BTW, the car has only 136,000 Miles on it, and 44 PSI fuel pressure at the fuel rail.
THANKS!!
Ken
