Cold Start Issues 200 1982

I had an 83 B21FT that had the same symptoms.
Try this test. Instead of trying to start it right away, turn the key on and off several times to prime the fuel system, build up pressure, then try and start it, if it starts easier after that your fuel pump check valve is bad and letting the pressure release while it sits. It happened on mine that way. Another thing to look at for hard starts is the vaccuum lines. I fixed many hard start issues by fixing busted vaccuum lines.
Good Luck.
Chuck Jaxel.
