mechanic needed in NYC: gas tank help! 700 1989

Hi All, I am (lovingly) driving an 89 740 wagon. The lines out of the fuel sending unit have rusted to the point that fuel drips out and down the tank whenever fuel is flowing. I managed to find a used sending unit, but now I can't find a mechanic who will install the part because of the hazards of a gas tank. Can anybody please recommend a good shop in NYC? The closer to Manhattan the better. I need to get this done ASAP as it seems a little dangerous!
