My '93 944T (B230FT) takes a while to get started. The car runs fine but when I start the car, I need to crank it 4 plus seconds or so. The car always starts and runs smooth (does not mis) no matter what outside temp is (from -30 to +80 deg, F). No matter if she sits 3 weeks, 3 days, or 3 hours, first start is 3 plus seconds of cranking and subsequently 3 seconds plus for following starts.
I'm used to it but passengers always look at me like is this old brick going to start? Also the last week or so it seems to take a fraction longer. I like to remedy this B-4 it strands me as i drive this car 500 miles a week.
Could it be O2 sensor related? or am I looking at a FI problem (pump, injectors, pressure regulator)?
I always run 92+ octane Shell , also a FI cleaner adder every 1500 to 2000 miles in the tank to keep things "clean".
Any ideas?
