I am looking to replace my 91 745 exhaust with something else and do it myself. my local AutoZone has all the Bosal parts but is there a better alternative? looks to be about $300 or so with all the brackets for behind the cat.

also: how would one test whether or not the cat is still good? and should i just replace it anyway while i'm doing the rest?

car has 105k on it.
